Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965 was an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. Her most well-known role is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she is a part of Passover seders.
